Why does palpatine change

He was simply dramatic by virtue of being evil. This moment hints at the thought and effort behind all these theatrics. It's almost like watching Sheev sit in his bedroom practicing his evil laugh. We know Palpatine is deliberate and meticulous in his evildoing, and this is further proof of it. But there's more meat on the bone here.

His obsession with image brings to mind a key moment from Rise of Skywalker , when he used Rey and Kylo's life force to revive himself. Look closely, and his robes seem to transform with an interesting red motif.

Did the robes revive with him? In contrast to the long-held Rule of Two, the canon has now expanded to include the ancient Sith, a group of people who ruled the galaxy at some point before the Old Republic.

The Star Wars: Aftermath trilogy of novels by Chuck Windig introduces a character named Yupe Tashu who was an advisor to Emperor Palpatine during the original trilogy era though we never see him on screen. Not in Palpatine necessarily, but in the Sith Eternal way of life as a belief system. When we first see the Sith Eternal on screen in The Rise of Skywalker , they are a couple of hooded figures tending to the machinery around the tub of Snoke clones and the hanging Palpatine.

What if the villain was just wearing a Palpatine mask? Abrams and co-writer Chris Terrio have left open in their trilogy-capper. Maybe the best any Force-wielder can hope for is to retain their consciousness beyond death. Rey would want to kill the evil, Empire-leading grandfather who had her parents murdered. Given who Rey is, it makes the most sense that it be something appearing as Palpatine tempting her to kill him in that moment.

Ask yourself why. And because his evil obviously had time to rot his body over the course of thirteen years. And GL always makes things ambiguous, especially when it comes to the PT. But like he says, "think outside of the box. Why didn't it burn his eyes blind if it burned his skin?

Why doesn't it neccessarily have the same effects each time used? If you pay attention, lighting used, whether by Dooku or Sidious, acts different depending on the circumstances. It's not always a painful stream, it is sometimes almost concussive, like a wave of force Whose to say that generating that much power to try and overcome Mace didn't take from the energy he was expending on his disguise?

Whose to literally say anything? And there you have it. Head for the bunkers, the fanboys are pillaging! Star Wars fans are revolting!!!!!!!!!!!! Darth Jello well, it could have been part of his plan since it was his disfigurment that won him the senate's sympathy chilled monkey It makes perfect sense that he was disfigured.

It wasn't actually the lightening that did it. It was the dark energy he was chanelling to create the lightening. That energy flowed through him before leaving through his fingertips as lightening.

DeVi D0do No. Red Superfly The explanation sucks, the scene sucks for being too vague any scene that requires constant visits to the internet for clarification just plain SUCKS and this arguement sucks as a result. And because I'm in here, I now suck. No offence, but what's so hard to understand? He was drawing on the dark side for power. The dark side is made up of hate, rage, anger, decay, ruin etc. It makes perfect sense that having all that flowing through him would warp his body.

Superfly point taken amity75 So it burned his eyes yellow? Then how does that explain Mauls eyes or Anakins eyes.

I thought the yellow eyes were caused by the midiclorians turning evil or something, not by being burned by lightning. Why oh why do people who should know better ie the OS come out with inconsistent crap like this? Boris Cause by evil We also see the effects it has on its wielders. I believe the explanation makes perfect sense. Official Site confirms that Palpatine's lightning disfigured him. Palpatine's voice. Sign up to join this community.
