He is the biggest Sony brand boy on this site. My first Android phone was the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray, it was small and slim for the time. The display was excellent but the update to Android 4 made is slow.

Another thing you can do is install a custom kernel that will allow you to overclock the device at the expense of battery life and assuming CM's kernel isn't overclockable , but that may not help very much.
