More info please, check out the diagnostic forms on the BA Auto Care website to see the type of questions that need to be answered.
I drive a Volkswagen Passat and today while accelerating on the interstate, it started violently shaking. Hi Ramiro, With this old of vehicle have all the steering and suspension parts checked carefully. If they are ok then move to checking rims and tires if they are ok have them road force balanced.
Or slow down to 70 mph :! I have a Camaro convertible that vibrates at the steering wheel just before 45mph. I have had it to 2 dealerships and no one could find the cause. I kept asking if it were the tires, but they blew me off.

I have a Toyota Tacoma. When accelerating at low speeds mph , randomly it will begin to vibrate. Its hard to pinpoint the vibration source, but you can definitely feel it in the steering wheel and in your feet.
If you keep accelerating it keeps vibrating, but as soon as you let off the gas it stops and you can continue to accelerate. It has become something I am used to and am so fast to let off the gas and begin accelerating again I almost forget it happens.
I have asked mechanics about it, but they never seem to know or have an answer. It has been doing it for a few years and never caused any issues that I am aware of.
Hi John, The most common reasons for a low speed vibration are, a distorted wheel or tire, driveline issue or brakes sticking on. There no reason you should have to put up with something like this for years! Have a ix BMW just had ball joints and control arms changed.. It is felt throughout the floor of the vehicle. Wheels are balanced, steering rack was changed and suspension seems ok too.
TIA, looking forward to your expert opinion. Hi Huggin, Interesting! Driveshaft issues normally occur around 45 mph so I would be surprised if that is the issue.
I just had my rotors, pads, and calipers replaced and it has a slight vibration after The rotors get pressed by the brake pad to help slow your vehicle down, and if the rotors are out of balance, this could be causing the vibrating tremors that you feel in the pedal and steering wheel.
This metal tab on the pad could cause some light vibration when pressing the brakes. The brake calipers are responsible for pressing the brake pad against the rotor, which is caused by brake fluid pumping through the lines when you press the pedal. The fluid creates hydraulic pressure which forces the caliper to press the pads.
If you feel the vibration only in the steering wheel, it could be the calipers sticking and failing to press the pads against the rotors. Some models might be slightly higher. Coupon not valid with any other offer. Must present coupon at time of write-up. Does not apply to Free Coupons.
