What kind of epiphone sg do i have

Mine is cherry but they made black too. I've seen video reviews of this model from two years ago but it has recently disappeared from the website, replaced by the version.

Okay, I just found the model on their website but it is now only available in a silver burst color. I like the batwing pickguard and love the guitar. There are still some new ones around for approx. Yours isn't marked "Pro" but with those tuners I'm sure it wasn't a lower model. Mine says "Limited Edition" on the back of the headstock but it seems they were made for about 2 years this time and were probably made in other batches in the past.

I really like the pickguard because of the coverage; this is my first guitar and I'm just learning to control the pick. Don't want to scratch the body.

Also the non-batwing models have an extra piece of plastic between the neck and pickup that looks out of place to me. I think you need to check into replacing your bridge posts; possibly the newer batwings have different posts.

You can post now and register later. On the other hand, the Les Paul is absolutely iconic. Sure, it is heavy. The neck is not as smooth and fast as the SG. But the look and tone are a part of history that is hard to ignore. If you use a wide strap , it will take some of the weight off for you when playing live. And this is the model I have — it is absolutely brilliant and not expensive at all for what you get.

With its Fishman Fluence humbuckers, iconic design, and amazing specs and components, the Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy is easily the best Gibson Les Paul on the market right now. It is that good…. Spark Amp — The amp itself is brilliant, coming with a bunch of great tones and plenty of power with its 50W speaker. But the real magic happens when it is paired with your phone, opening up access to thousands of effects and tones that you can customize to your exact specifications.

And best of all? Fender Play — Learning guitar can be hard. It takes forever, seemingly, and progress is slow. You can also get a free trial right now too — so you have literally nothing to lose! Richard has been playing guitar for over a decade and is a huge fan of metal, doom, sludge, and rock music in general — though mostly metal.

Having played in bands and worked in studios since the early s, Richard is a massive music production geek, a fan of minimalist recording techniques, and he really likes old-school guitars.

So you know you want an Epiphone. But what Epiphone Les Paul should I buy? With a mahogany body, set neck and twin humbuckers, Epiphone SGs have all of the core elements in an excellent value instrument. These models are official SG licensed designs from Gibson, making them a great choice for those starting their SG journey.

The SG is a familiar sight in rock and continues to be a very popular choice. This is partly due to their great upper fret access for playing solos. Ranges like the Prophecy and Muse are packed with contemporary features and exciting finishes.

For even greater value, Epiphone offer the stripped down SG Special model. Whether you are a beginner or a player with years of experience, the Epiphone SG is a great choice. It provides plenty of attitude with big tones to match! Shipping Worldwide with next day to Europe. Sell your Guitar or Trade it.
